Pte Norman Grisdale of the 6th Border, wounded on the 7th August 1915 at the Dardanelles and died on the 16th aged 20.
He is buried in the Cairo War Memorial Cemetery.
Joseph was wounded on the Somme, Aveluy Wood, and transferred to the Labour Corps. He survived the war, lived, married and died in Carlisle.
